Pelka failings boss to quit top children's job

Ex-Coventry City Council children's service director resigns from role as chairman of Tower Hamlets LBC safeguarding board.

A children's services boss, who came under fire for failings at his former council over murdered schoolboy Daniel Pelka, has stepped down from his new child protection post.

Tower Hamlets LBC said Colin Green had decided to withdraw from the post of chairman of the Local Safeguarding Children Board ‘with immediate effect'.
