Council pension funds are among a coalition of investors that will lobby two of the world's biggest oil and gas companies over climate change.

The Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF), which brings together more than 60 council pension funds from across the country with combined assets of over £150bn, will co-file shareholder resolutions at the annual meetings of BP and Shell next year.
