Working with young people across Medway to reduce the number of NEET

Medway Council has achieved significant falls in the number of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). Ian Sutherland explains how this has been achieved.

The number of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) fell by almost a fifth in Medway between December 2018 and February 2019 compared to the year before – this is really encouraging.

In Medway we are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential and we are pleased to have been able to support more young people get back into education, find a job or help them find a suitable training course.
