Halton BC chief executive David Parr, who has had oversight of the £1.86bn Mersey Gateway Crossing Board project to build the Mersey Gateway Bridge over the last 10 years, is set to be appointed its interim chief executive with Halton BC leader Cllr Rob Polhill, providing strategic guidance to the project as chair.

 Mr Parr will combine this role together with that of chief executive of Halton BC.
