The charity, Counsel and Care, said it was dismayed at a Care Quality Commission report, which found that some NHS staff were failing to feed older people properly and treat them with dignity.

A commission report found that three of 12 hospitals, which were recently visited by inspectors, failed to meet essential nutrition standards, and patients were not being given enough to drink.
