Piccadilly's new bust stop

Boris Johnson last week unveiled a bust of his former deputy, the late Sir Simon Milton, on a block above Eagle Place, Piccadilly.

London Mayor Boris Johnson last week unveiled a bust of his former deputy, the late Sir Simon Milton, on a block above Eagle Place, Piccadilly, which used to house Sir Simon's family pastry business.

The former leader of Westminster City Council and chairman of the LGA, Sir Simon died of leukaemia two years ago while deputy mayor. Early in his career he used to live in a flat on the same site above his parents' shop. The bust incorporates a cake as well as City Hall and Westminster.
