Some 23 local authorities have gained a slice from a £1m Government cash pot designed to modernise the publication of statutory notices.
The news comes four months after the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) launched a £950,000 funding pot in December for local pilot programmes to help councils modernise their public information duties.
The pilot schemes, which are expected to run from this month to the end of August, will include collaborations between councils and local newspapers and media outlets.
