Doubters of Eric Pickles’ talents are ‘fools’, the Labour councillor expected to be the LGA's next chair has said.

Doubters of Eric Pickles' talents are ‘fools', the Labour councillor expected to be the Local Government Association's (LGA) next chair has said.

David Sparks told The MJ that the much-maligned communities secretary was an ‘extremely able politician and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool'.
