Pickles unveils £250m weekly bin plan

Eric Pickles unveils a £250m fund for local councils to re-introduce weekly bin collections.

Communities secretary Eric Pickles has unveiled a £250m fund for local councils to re-introduce or retain weekly bin collections.

The Weekly Collections Support Scheme will be funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government and is in addition to the local government financial settlement.
