Pirates plundered

Trading standards officers in Waltham Forest have made the biggest seizure in the UK of pirate DVD manufacturing and distributing equipment. Officers raided a warehouse in Leyton, east London, in a joint operation with police and the Federation Against Copyright Theft, and found more than 500 CD burners capable of producing more than 60,000 DVDs a week, with a weekly street value of £1.7m.
