Birmingham City Council is reporting ‘substantial progress' in the delivery of a regeneration scheme key to the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but that a net cost increase of £66.8m has emerged.

A report to Cabinet seeking approval for the Perry Barr Regeneration Scheme's (PBRS) revised financial business case says more than 90% of the land needed for accommodation or wider infrastructure improvements is now  in council control.
