The Planning Inspectorate's chief executive has been summoned to meet with ministers at the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) today, after his organisation issued fresh advice on the government's controversial new planning guidelines.
The Inspectorate stated on its website last week that the draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) 'gives a clear indication of the government's direction of travel' and therefore is 'capable of being a material consideration'.
