Plymouth City Council has agreed a deal that could pave the way for the largest commercially-backed zero-carbon village in Europe.

Plymouth City Council has agreed a deal that could pave the way for the largest commercially-backed zero-carbon village in Europe.

The council has entered an Option Agreement with joint venture company CornerstoneZED for eco-homes on Bickleigh Down,in North Devon. The proposed new village, once granted planning permission, will create jobs while it is developed, and then as Bickleigh Down establishes itself as the regional hub for low carbon industries.
