Plymouth City Council has removed its assistant chief executive role due to 'financial pressures', as part of an ongoing management overhaul.

Plymouth City Council has removed its assistant chief executive role due to 'financial pressures', as part of an ongoing management overhaul.

The council has also reduced the number of assistant directors from 16 to 12 - while one additional senior manager will work in a 'reduced executive' capacity - and is replacing its four existing directorates with three: people, places and resources from January.
