PM to announce 400 more primary academies

PM David Cameron is expected to announce 400 of the weakest primary schools are to be taken out of local authority control.

Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to announce later today that 400 of the weakest primary schools are to be taken out of local authority control and turned into academies.

The Cabinet is due to discuss primary education today when it holds a meeting at an academy school in the West Midlands.
