Everybody could do with a bit of a lift after the events of 2020 – and the local government sector more than most. Fortunately, the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) is on hand to do just that.

APSE enlisted the talents of poet Tony Walsh to put together Council Matters – a tribute to the ‘unsung heroes in local government'. The poem recognises the efforts of those both on the frontline and behind the scenes ‘from caretakers to chief execs'.
