An influential MP has warned council leaders not to waste their time on ‘meaningless discussions' exploring a Yorkshire-wide devolution deal.

Mr Betts told council leaders to accept the south Yorkshire devolution deal being offered by the Government instead of pursuing their ‘futile desires'.
