Three major local government appointments were announced today (October 18) at the LGA and at a London borough.

Fran Beasley is to be the next chief executive of Hillingdon LBC subject to full council approval next month while St Albans City and District Council chief executive Daniel Goodwin is to be the LGA's next director of finance and policy and Nicola Morton the LGA's head of local government finance.
