Ken Livingstone's bid to snatch more planning powers from the London boroughs intensified last week, with an attack on Wandsworth LBC.
The London mayor said the council refused to apply part of the Greater London Authority's London Plan with regard to renewable energy on an application for a set of industrial units in the borough. He said the council refused to enforce the plan's energy statement on the application, whereby new developments must get 10% of their energy from renewable sources.
