The power to change

Bristol has nurtured a dynamic community energy culture that is helping the council address austerity and meet carbon targets. Mayor Marvin Rees explains the approach taken and how the city is creating a meaningful European Green Capital legacy

Bristol has long been a pioneer in climate change planning in the UK and our work in this field was one of the key reasons we were awarded European Green Capital 2015.

Energy – and community energy in particular, of course – is a key piece of this jigsaw.
