The stars were out at last week's conference organised by the Public Sector People Managers; Association, the new name for SOCPO, the former personnel officers; society.
The theme of the conference was 'Create a little magic' The stars included comedienne Jo Brand who presented the recruitment advertisement awards on Thursday night, as well as the winners in the various categories. The work of the year award went to the ~City of London~ and TMP Worldwide. On Wednesday night there were more stars, this time for the PPMA&rsquo;s own awards for wellbeing, diversity, e-HR, outstanding contribution ( ~Gill Hibberd~ of Buckinghamshire CC, ), and rising star (Joanna Clare from ~Hertfordshire~ CC) presented by PPMA patron Sir Michael Bichard. Sponsors were Penna, Comensura, Axa/PPP Healthcare and The MJ. </p>
