Praise for DCLG as job cuts programme meets targets

The DCLG has been praised for leading Whitehall’s controversial job cuts programme.

The DCLG has been praised for leading Whitehall's controversial job cuts programme – with Eland House on course to meet its target to slash staff numbers by 700 by next year.

A study by the Institute for Government (IfG) suggests the core DCLG has, in percentage terms, made the largest reduction in staffing numbers since the Government announced major cuts through its Spending Review in October 2010.
