The leaders of the Core Cities have called for a ‘radical reform' of the comprehensive spending review, putting place-based budgets at the heart of public spending. 

Speaking in advance of the Emergency Budget this week, Core Cities chair, Sir Richard Leese, said: ‘We want radical reform of the way the Government works and how it spends.
