'No preparation' for east European influx

The MJ can reveal East London councils have not prepared for extra eastern European migration next year, despite government warnings.

East London councils have not prepared for extra eastern European migration next year, despite government warnings any ‘influx' would be focused in that area, The MJ can reveal.

According to think-tank Migration Watch, around 50,000 Romanian and Bulgarian citizens will come to the UK every year, once EU controls are lifted from January 2014.
