Business experts have defended European Union (EU) procurement rules after Brexit campaigner Michael Gove claimed they cost the public purse billions.

Speaking to The MJ, the managing director of procurement specialists Millstream, Tim Williams, said EU regulations have ‘helped local authorities access a wider range of suppliers and achieve savings'.
