Progess has been made on youth violence

John O'Brien considers the measures the Serious Youth Violence Board are taking to tackle youth violence in London.

Few events have such a profound impact on a very local community than the murder of a young person as a result of violence by other youngsters.

Sadly, in London, it is an issue we have had to grapple with, particularly in recent years. In 2008, 30 young people died as a result of serious youth violence in the capital.
