A triple threat of financial pressures, staffing shortages and shrinking local authority budgets have created a ‘fragile ecosystem' in the home care sector, a new report has warned.

The report by healthcare specialists LaingBuisson highlights the declining role many local authorities are playing in directly providing home care and how they are increasingly relying on private suppliers.
