Protecting young people online

This year’s Behaviour Change Award went to Torbay BC for its innovative project with Devon and Cornwall Police to combat child sexual exploitation, cyber bullying and sexting

Judges this year said they were ‘absolutely delighted' to recognise Torbay BC's work with Devon and Cornwall Police and community interest company, Hele's Angels, to protect young people online.

It is clear this issue needs to be tackled head-on. The freedom of internet-enabled devices allows users to meet new people and engage in new experiences. While many parents grew up in an ‘offline' world, their children are now constantly using devices to connect to the web.
