New public health funding round announced

The Department of Health has announced councils are set to get £423m in public health funding for the next financial year. to support the transfer of public health commissioning to children up to the age of five.

The Department of Health has announced councils are set to get £423m in public health funding for the next financial year. to support the transfer of public health commissioning to children up to the age of five.

The cash will be transferred to local authorities as part of the public health grant for 2015-16, as well as additional cash to help children.

The Department of Health has also announced an additional £2m to support new commissioning responsibilities in local authorities.
