Public sector pay deals were stuck at zero in the three months to the end of April, as government pay level policies take effect.

Public sector pay deals were stuck at zero in the three months to the end of April, as incomes research indicates government pay level policies have begun to take effect.

Since chancellor George Osborne announced a public sector pay freeze in last June's emergency budget, a clear gap has emerged between government employees and private sector workers, who enjoyed a median pay award of 3%.
