More than half of public sector staff fail to take precautions to protect sensitive information they are working from a poll has revealed.

More than half of public sector staff fail to take precautions to protect sensitive information they are working from - even when they are out in public - a poll has revealed.

A study by pollsters ComRes found 80% of public sector employees have seen what other people have been working on, yet 53% don't take care to protect confidential information. The firm claims this is leaving personal data vulnerable to theft and abuse.
