Policy experts have rounded on government proposals to reform public services as ‘unworkable' and imposing ‘additional, unnecessary red tape' on councils.

Released on 29 March, the update on the Open Public Services White Paper outlined government actions across a range of public services, including local government, education, welfare and health – eight months after its publication.
