The higher salaries on offer when government organisations relocate to areas in the North are disrupting the local public services jobs market, the president of the Public Services People Managers' Association has said.

Writing for The MJ's website today, Pam Parkes said that while Salford's Media City ‘testifies to the power of revitalising old industrial towns, at the same time we need to remain alive to the fact that new economic hubs can be a mixed blessing'.
