Gail Quinton, currently director of children's services at Worcestershire CC, will join Coventry City Council in September as director of the people's directorate when the current director, Brian Walsh, retires.

She is currently director of children's services at Worcestershire CC where she leads on integrated services to children, young people and their families, which includes education, early years and children's centres, prevention and intervention services and children's social care.
