'Quit complaining about lack of cash,' LGA told

Greg Clark has suggested the sector should quit complaining about a lack of adult social care funding because Whitehall delivered on Smith Square's requests.

Speaking at the councillors' forum last week, communities secretary Mr Clark said the money in the settlement for adult social care was based on ‘representations' made by the Local Government Association (LGA) in its Spending Review submission and ‘went beyond' the amount he was told was needed.
