Ramping up the benefits of IAMP

The breaking of ground on the £400m International Advanced Manufacturing Park at Tyneside will herald a new era for the North East’s growing advanced manufacturing sector. Cllr Iain Malcolm and Cllr Graeme Miller explain.

Work is expected to start imminently on the first phase of a nationally significant development which will transform the North East's economy.

The £400m International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) will be situated on a 150-hectare area of land, west of the strategic A19 economic corridor and north of Nissan UK. It is expected to create more than 7,000 jobs once it is fully operational.
