RCE turns to Kelly for a boost

Six cities in the east of England have written to the local government secretary Ruth Kelly asking for help in boosting the region's economy.

The Regional Cities East group consists of Peterborough, Luton, Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester and Southend-on-Sea. The group is asking for money and planning assistance to create 160,000 new homes and 140,000 new jobs in the region.
