Record numbers contact NSPCC

According to the NSPCC the number of people contacting the charity with concerns about neglected children has doubled.

The number of people contacting the charity NSPCC with concerns about neglected children has doubled over the last two years, according to the organisation.

A report published on 11 June revealed more than 12,100 people rang the NSPCC helpline between April 2011 and March 2012 with concerns that a child or children were possibly being neglected.
