Recycle PFI savings into frontline services, ministers announce

Public bodies can keep efficiency savings from PFI projects ministers have announced today.

Public bodies will be allowed to keep efficiency savings from PFI projects as a financial incentive to cut costs, ministers announced today.

The news comes as part of wider Treasury plans to shave £1.5bn from the lifetime costs of around 500 schools, hospitals, infrastructure and facilities schemes.
