Recycling group's £600m get-together

The Waste Recycling Group has signed a £600m contract with Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham councils.

The three councils' joint private finance initiative, known as the RE3 partnership, has signed the deal, which will see the creation of a joint waste disposal board. Waste Recycling Group chief executive Jim Meredith said: ‘We are looking forward to getting to work in order to meet and exceed the ambitious recycling and landfill diversion targets that the people of Reading, Bracknell Forest and Wokingham have set themselves.'
