As the world and his Uncle Owen finally settle down after the runaway success of the latest Star Wars movie, Diary is pleased to report the force is still strong with Birmingham City Council and its never-ending battle against waste.

Local artist Paul Chancellor was able to build a replica of Star Wars character R2D2 (isn't that one of the combined authorities? – Ed) by using unwanted items sold by the ReUsers social enterprise from a council recycling centre.
