Refuse worker wins payout

A former refuse collection worker at Lichfield DC has been awarded £3.75m after an accident left him severely disabled.

Birmingham High Court heard that Richard Taylor, 21, of Cannock, was in a refuse lorry which overturned last year. A spokesman for Lichfield DC said the authority ‘would like to express its deep regret and sympathy to Mr Taylor for the dreadful injuries that he sustained'.
