'No time to relax' for PCCs

The Police Federation has warned that incoming elected police and crime commissioners must hit the ground running.

The Police Federation has warned that incoming elected police and crime commissioners (PCCs) must hit the ground running, after a government report criticised some police authorities' transitional plans.

Speaking to The MJ, federation chairman Paul McKeever said the PCCs would ‘have to be up and running from the word go', once they were elected in November.
