Council chiefs have called for an independent ministerial review to come with ‘no-strings attached’ relaxations on borrowing powers.

An independent ministerial review on boosting social housing should come with ‘no-strings attached' relaxations on borrowing powers and avoid any proposals potentially harmful to existing asset strategies, council chiefs have urged.
