Let's not replace Brussels with Whitehall

As local government stays stuck in the inertia of Brexit, wouldn't it be better to imagine a devolved world, asks Heather Jameson. If the Government wants councils to rebuild places after Brexit, it will need to be swift, she adds.

As the UK Government continues to play a giant game of ‘deal or no deal' with the fortunes of the nation, local government remains trapped in the inertia of Brexit.

Instead of proper planning and policies, the last few months have been dogged by Westminster's indecision and political infighting.
