Report: Councils must do more on asylum seekers

More local authorities must do their bit to help accommodate asylum seekers, a report by the powerful House of Commons home affairs committee said today.

More local authorities must do their bit to help accommodate asylum seekers, a report by the powerful House of Commons home affairs committee said today.

The committee said more councils should take part in the dispersal accommodation system and provide suitable accommodation, particularly those that currently have few or no asylum seekers living in their area.
