A ground-breaking commission looking into the housing challenges facing Southwark LBC handed its final report to the authority's leader.

A ground-breaking commission looking into the housing challenges facing Southwark LBC this week handed its final report to the authority's leader, Cllr Peter John.

The findings from the commission – chaired by the acclaimed housing lawyer, Jan Luba – will be presented to Southwark's cabinet on 23 October, and immediately made available to local residents so that they can debate the content and help to produce solutions to the long-term challenges of upgrading the council's existing properties, and tackling a 20,000 social housing waiting list.
