Local heritage could be used more to develop local economic, cultural and social strategies, but it is largely ignored, a report has claimed.

Local heritage could be used more to develop local economic, cultural and social strategies, but it is largely ignored, a report by the RSA has claimed.

Despite enthusiasm for the history and identity of local places, local leaders rarely translate that into a central part of place-shaping and developing a strong local identity.
