Research exposes lack of support for Localism Bill

Almost one-quarter of Conservative councillors and one-third of Liberal Democrat councillors do not support the Localism Bill.

Almost one-quarter of Conservative councillors and one-third of Liberal Democrat councillors do not support the Localism Bill, according to research.

The study, carried out by property consultancy CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), was based on the answers of 400 councillors across the UK, and also revealed only 6% of Labour representatives backed the Bill.
