Labour's communities secretary Jon Trickett has survived a shadow cabinet reshuffle, as Jeremy Corbyn expands his local government team.

Mr Trickett retained his position after days of conjecture surrounding the ministerial shake-up, with many expecting him to claim the party's chief whip from Rosie Winterton.
